The 2018 Kia Sorento L is the base trim. It has a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine that gets up to 185 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque.

The engine gets paired with a 6-speed Automatic Transmission with Overdrive and a Sportmatic™ Sports Shifter. The drivetrain for this trim is only available in front-wheel drive.

The interior features cloth seats with YES Essentials® fabric treatment. The seats are versatile and give you lots of storage options with 40/20/40 split-folding 2nd-row seats. There’s also under rear-cargo floor storage compartments.

When you’re at the wheel you’ll have a 4.3-inch touchscreen display at your command. This is equipped with a SiriusXM® Audio System and Bluetooth® compatibility.

This screen also doubles as your window to what’s behind you. The standard Rear-Camera Display shows you what’s in your path when you’re backing up.

2018 Kia Sorento LX

The second trim is the 2018 Kia Sorento LX. It has the same standard engine as the previous trim. With all trims going forward, front-wheel drive is standard, but Dynamax™ All-Wheel Drive is available as well.

The most notable change in the interior is that a third row of seats is added to accommodate more passengers. This is also fitted to help with your storage with 50/50 split-folding 3rd-row seats and sliding.

Also helping you carry more, roof rails are now standard with a low-profile silver finish.

Your ride will be quieter in this trim too with acoustic glass on the front windshield working to keep out engine and road noises.

The infotainment system gets more options and convenience. It’s now a 7-inch touch screen that’s fitted with the UVO link Infotainment System plus Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.

This trim gives you more all-around awareness too with a Rear Park Assist System, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Blind-Spot Detection with Lane-Change Assist.

It even knows when you’re approaching and helps with loading. The Smart-Power Liftgate® with sensor allows you easy access to the trunk space.

2018 Kia Sorento SX

The 2018 Kia Sorento SX gives us our most powerful engine yet. Under the hood it has a 3.3L V6 engine that generates up to 290 horsepower and 252 lb-ft of torque.

You’ll be able to feel that power even more with a standard panoramic sunroof with power sunshade. Also, up top, your roof rails now have a stylish chrome finish.

The metallic aesthetic continues both inside and out. Larger 19-inch machine-finish alloy wheels are standard on this trim. The interior blends a black high-gloss interior trim with stainless-steel sill plate and illuminated scuff trim.

The infotainment system increases again with the UVO geo 8-inch touch screen. It now features voice-command navigation plus SiriusXM® Traffic.
